Order gets stuck in the basket

We have switched to a different system that handles the processing of address details and payments.

However, this means that you may still have cookies on your computer that are designed for the old system. As a result, the system may freeze when you enter your postcode.

To resolve this, it is best to delete the cookies from your computer.

If you are unable to resolve the issue, you can also place an order with us by telephone. We are available daily between 10.00 and 17.00 on telephone number: +31 (0) 597 432 381.


How to order and pay?

In the drop-down menu on the left, you can choose from a number of categories. After making your initial selection, you will be taken to a page displaying the items in that category. By clicking on the relevant item, you can read more information about that product. With a single click on the "Buy Now" button, you can add the item to your shopping basket. For some items, you can also specify the colour you would like. If you wish to purchase multiple quantities of a single item, you can indicate this in the ‘quantity’ box next to the ‘Buy Now’ button. Cancel?

Cancelling an order is free of charge as long as it has not yet been dispatched. If you cancel the order after it has been dispatched to you, you must refuse the parcel upon delivery. If we have already received payment from you, we will refund the purchase price to you once we have received the returned item.


Shipping costs and tracking information?

Shipping costs depend on the order total and the country to which the order is to be sent. For the Netherlands, you can choose between standard delivery and a collection point. For international orders, there is a single rate. However, for a number of countries, you can choose between home delivery or a collection point near you. Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you a Track and Trace link so you can track your parcel. The carrier will provide you with a time slot for when they expect to deliver the parcel to you. However, the actual delivery time may vary.

Returns?

Not entirely satisfied with your order? We make returns easy. You can return your product to our showroom or via the returns form within 30 days of receiving your order. The product must be unused and in its original packaging to be returned. For more information: Warranty and returns.


What is inside a Galileo thermometer?

The Galileo thermometers we sell are filled with demineralised water and a mixture of isoparaffins and glycols. These substances are not harmful to health. Should the thermometer break, you can safely dispose of it. Clean the area thoroughly with plenty of water and ensure the room is well ventilated. The odour is quite strong, but not harmful to your health. Due to the isoparaffins (oily substance), it can be difficult to clean up, but it is important to do so as quickly as possible (to prevent it from seeping into the wood of the cabinet, for example).


Where is the best place to put a Galileo thermometer?

A Galileo thermometer is a decorative yet functional instrument that is sensitive to heat and sunlight. If the thermometer is placed directly in the sun or above a heat source (such as a radiator or fireplace), the glass may heat up excessively. This not only affects the accuracy of the measurement, but can also cause the coloured balls in the liquid to slowly discolour. Unfortunately, this discolouration is irreversible. To preserve the lifespan and beauty of your Galileo thermometer, we therefore always recommend choosing a location away from direct sunlight and heat.
